At the beginning of our journey we’ll be in a region of Belgium which is rich in history and sacrifice for Canadian troops. We will be visiting a Canadian War Memorial as a group where we will take our team photo. Although the tour is going to have plenty of great times this will be a more somber occasion where will will pay our respects. For those who need a quick brush up on history I’ve attached a couple of you tube links that will help.

Sarnia Saints 2012 Club Tour to Amsterdam, Cologne & Ghent
This is an official Club Tour for Sarnia Saints RFC. The tour is open to any current player, past player or Club supporter. (The date will be firmed up this September, once airlines release costs. It will be within on or two dates of this date.)
This will be a 10-day tour starting in Amsterdam. We will be there for 4 nights and will play one game. There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy whatever Amsterdam has to offer….
We then take coach transportation for the 3.5 hour trip to Cologne Germany, where we will stay for 3 nights. We will enjoy another rugby match along with plenty of time for sights and adventure. We jump back on the bus for the 3 hour trip to Ghent, Belgium.
What a wonderful town for another rugby match and some other fun. While in the region, those interested will have the chance to visit nearby sites key to our Canadian military history.
Those remaining will jump on the flight back home on day 10.

NEXT MEETING
November 14th – 730pm Dirty Jack Doyles
There will be a tour meeting held on Monday, November 14th – 7:30 PM at Dirty Jack Doyle’s. I ask that anyone who is available make this meeting a priority. We now have a complete tour itinerary with dates and such. We will be discussing important issues related to the tour, which includes making deposits for flights and to the tour company. This will finalize our numbers for the tour and we will establish a cut-off date for any refunds.
If you’ve kept up with payments, that’s wonderful and greatly appreciated. However, some have started to lag so please bring your chequebook and/or tour sponsorships and get caught up.
If you have been on the fence about committing to the tour this will be you LAST CHANCE. I will bring copies of the tour itinerary with me so that you can make your decision with all available information. There have been some minor changes in the tour that we can discuss.
I understand that some are out of town and away at school. No problem, but please get in touch with me and we can discuss your situation in more detail.
Our numbers look good and the tour looks as though it’s going to be a fantastic trip!
Again, please make Monday, November 14th’s meeting a priority. I will be starting the meeting at 7:30 pm sharp so we can get through everything before the football game starts, so please be on time if you want all the info.
Cheers,
Mac
